Barack Obama Crashed A Wedding And It Was Amazing!

A couple in the US got the surprise of their lives when they realised that Barack Obama, the POTUS, was golfing at the same course where they were getting married.

Speaking to ABC 2, Brian and Stephanie said they knew Obama was golfing in the San Diego area but didn't realise he would be at the Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla at the exact same time they were getting hitched.

After he finished his game, the POTUS strolled right up to the couple and started shaking hands with the guests who were waiting for the ceremony to start.

The couple, who were inside a bridal suite, could see what was happening outside and ran out to meet him.

"I was just hoping that they'd notice my wedding dress," she said. "And it would just be the last chance ... You don't get this chance very often so why not just go for it."

Obama congratulated the newly weds on their wedding and even offered up some advice to the groom.

Stephanie said she was in tears while the crowd cheered her on. When he finally met up with her, he congratulated the newlyweds on their wedding. Then he offered the groom some important advice.

"He saw my foot on the train of the wedding dress and he says, 'Oops, can't put your foot on the wedding dress there.' Little piece of advice, pretty funny," Brian said.

"To see a sitting president, I was just crying going up there," Stephanie said. "It was awesome."

While he couldn't stay for the ceremony, he needed to get back to running the country and all, but luckily the wedding's photographers Jeff and Erin Youngrens captured the moment on camera.
