We’ve got a new series for you, and it’s neither grave, nor grim. In fact it’s sexy. Seriously sexy. Presenting Outlander, the story of Claire, a liberated 1940s woman who accidentally travels back in time to mid-18th century Jacobite Scotland, overrun by muscly rebels outfitted in kilts and lots and lots of tartan. There’s one chap in
particular who catches Claire’s eye: a kind-hearted gentle giant of a man named (whisper it in Scots cadence, you know you want to) Jamie.

Trust us on this: Outlander is no The Tudors or The Borgias, both shows that splice sex and history together with reckless, lascivious abandon. Claire is a strong, confident woman who takes control of her strange, sci-fi situation and her sexuality like the proto-feminist she truly is. This is a guilty pleasure we can really get behind. Bring it on!
