Why We Can’t Stop Talking About The Honourable Woman

Maggie Gyllenhaal in The Honourable Woman

Sure, it’s a gripping, at times extremely dark, thriller, which stars Maggie Gyllenhaal as troubled heiress Nessa Stein. Set against the backdrop of violence in the Middle East, this BBC eight-parter is undoubtedly one of those shows where you’ll find yourself muttering “just one more episode” at 1a.m.

But it’s Gyllenhaal’s wardrobe that really has marie claire office talking. From the Roland Mouret dress Nessa wears to make her debut as a politician to her silk slips by haute couture Parisian lingerie designer Carine Gilson, Nessa has impeccable taste.

Then there’s the Stella McCartney, Acne, Escada, Pringle and vintage Chanel Nessa regularly sports, accessorized with shoes by Christian Louboutin and Celine and a Mulberry bag thrown in for good measure. Never has danger looked so darn good.
