2015 is the year of highly anticipated, big budget, blockbuster sequels. You’ll be spoiled for choice: there’s the second Hunger Games Mockingjay film, a much-vaunted Star Wars Episode VII, new Avengers and Fantastic Four films and Pitch Perfect 2. But our favourite of the bunch is a little film called Magic Mike XXL, the sequel to 2012’s hit male stripper feature starring Channing Tatum and Joe Manganiello. And today, we got our first glimpse at the abs-filled extravaganza.
Here’s what you can expect: a dance routine to Ginuwine’s Pony (the unofficial male stripper anthem), strobe lights and throbbing bass, a few conspicuous champagne-popping and top-down convertible scenes, dollar bills raining from the ceiling and shirtless men. How many men, you ask? Oh, thousands.
Magic Mike XXL won’t be in cinemas until July this year, but at least there’s the trailer to tide you over until then. You’re welcome.
