Yahoo Lifestyle Matthew McConaughey Receives Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame

An Oscar, blockbusters (Magic Mike and Interstellar, we’re looking at you), small screen fame (True Detective) and now the highest honour in Hollywood, a star on the Walk of Fame: It’s been a good year for Matthew McConaughey. (Let’s just all not mention the decade or so he spent languishing in pretty average romantic comedies before getting here.)

Today, the 45-year old Texan native unveiled his star on the iconic Hollywood sidewalk. Flanked by his wife Camilla Alves, and their three children – Livingston, Levi and Vida – McConaughey was introduced by director Christopher Nolan and was joined by his Insterstellar co-stars Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain.
“It’s a special day,” McConaughey told onlookers. “A great moment in my career and for my family.”
