Love kissing? Of course you do. And so does the New York Times. The American newspaper has celebrated a stellar year of film and television by asking some of their favourite actors and actresses to pucker up on screen.

There are nine short videos, all featuring very different kinds of kisses, all directed by British fashion photographer and filmmaker Elaine Constantine. The videos feature no dialogue, focussing instead on ambient noise and stirring music. And they’re short: each vignette runs for just one minute (and most of it involves, you guessed it, kissing).

The videos feature some of the biggest names in acting today: Benedict Cumberbatch and Reese Witherspoon, Julianne Moore and John Lithgow, Shailene Woodley and Jack O’Connell (the breakout star of Angelina Jolie’s Unbroken), Chadwick Boseman and Kristen Stewart and Laura Dern and Steve Carrell.

It’s almost too hard to pick a favourite (Benedict Cumberbatch). You can watch all nine videos here.
