Rachel Zoe Tops Hollywood's Most Powerful Stylists List

Rachel Zoe has been named Hollywood's Most Powerful Stylist of the year by the Hollywood Reporter. The heavily pregnant star of The Rachel Zoe Project took out the top honour ahead of Diane Kruger's stylist, former Vogue Editor Kate Young, and Petra Flannery, who is currently working with Emma Stone and Hailee Steinfeld.

Zoe's former assistant, Brad Goreski, also made the list after just six months of freelance styling.

Zoe, whose clients include Anne Hathaway, Jennifer Garner and Demi Moore, told the Hollywood Reporter that she considers her job to be strictly behind-the-scenes, regardless of the extensive amount of publicity she receives.

"I'm never a star when I'm with a star - ever," explains Zoe.

The sentiment must have applied recently when Zoe dressed Anne Hathaway for the Oscars.

"It was a big night for me, but you can only imagine what it was like for Anne," says Zoe. "It was pretty incredible. We've been working on it since they announced it. It was one of things, like, normally we need to have this many fittings to get to one dress, and now we have the opportunity to use, in total, eight dresses. It was the ultimate fantasy for both of us.

"We got to play dress-up. Anne's certainly one of my muses. It was really, really fun. Legitimately, the day could not have gone better."

Zoe is quick to point out that her success isn't a solo effort however, saying, "I can say in all honesty that being pregnant, working with the kind of people I work with and being this businesswoman has been a really wonderful, drama-free time in my life," Zoe says.
