Harper And David Beckham At Victoria Beckham's NYFW Runway Show

Victoria Beckham had some special guests at her spring/summer 2014 New York Fashion Week show, with daughter Harper and husband David taking up prime real estate in the front row.

David, who arrived shielding Harper from the waiting paparazzi, took his seat at the show alongside Vogue US editor Anna Wintour, who cracked a rare smile at the sight of baby Harper.

Wearing a simple white pleated dress with her hair in a topknot, Harper proved the perfect accompaniment to David, who looked suave and sophisticated in a black suit and skinny tie.

Victoria Beckham herself appeared at the end of the runway after the show in a crisp white shirt and black pants, rounding out the family’s chic monochrome theme.

Despite admitting she was a “perfectionist”, Beckham appeared calm and collected before the show, with insiders saying, “Victoria is so organised, that there are no all-nighters.”

This season, the designer showcased a series of sportswear-inspired looks with a feminine spin. Gone were the bodycon dresses of season’s past: Beckham’s spring/summer line is a reflection of her evolving aesthetic, with minimal shapes softened by peplums and subtle ruffles.

“I love a fitted dress but there's a different side of me too that's more relaxed but still sharp,” Beckham told Grazia UK after the show. “I like to challenge myself every season. . . I want to wear everything, I'm so proud of it.”
