Victoria Beckham Admits Work/Life Balance Is Difficult

Fashion designer Victoria Beckham has admitted she finds it difficult balancing work and four children, likening her hectic schedule to juggling glass balls.

The new mum to four-month old Harper Seven reportedly has a myriad of help at hand, but says she often works odd hours in an attempt to keep her fashion line ahead of the game and spend time with her children.

"There are quite a few video conferences at 5 a.m. with me in my dressing gown, holding the baby," Beckham told WWD. "For me it's no different than it is for a lot of women out there. It's like juggling glass balls."

But Beckham admits she thrives on the chaos, saying she shunned the idea of traditional maternity leave.

"Maternity leave - what's that?" said the designer whilst pregnant with Harper. "I've been working incredibly hard so I'm prepared for next season."

Since giving birth, Beckham say she’s had to develop a very strategic way of working, but that she’s been lucky to have a well-behaved baby.

"Harper has also done her bit. She’s so well behaved," Beckham shared.

Beckham's fashion line reportedly recorded a 120 per cent year on year increase this year, with the Metro UK commenting that "it won't be long before she catches up with her husband David in the money-making stakes."

But for now, the majority of Beckham’s attention seems to be focused on baby Harper, with the Daily Mail noting last week, "it appears that Birkin loving Victoria Beckham has a favourite new accessory which outshines her £1million bag collection. And she is in no hurry to put her down."
