The French designer is the latest label to partner with the international chainstore, sending fans into a frenzy when the news broke last night.
Marant said the collection would be "something real that women want to wear in their everyday lives, with a certain carelessness which I think is very Parisian.”
Known for her effortlessly chic designs and on-trend styling, Marant was chosen by H&M for its latest collaboration because her mix of "urban attitude, boho elegance and rock 'n' roll spirit" delivered "a genuine French allure".
The designer said her collection was infused with the kind of easiness and attitude reflected in her main line. “You dress up, but do not pay too much attention and still look sexy,” she explained.
Marant joins the likes of Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Lanvin and Versace, who have all delivered sell-out collections for the chainstore.
