Christian Dior Releases 3D Animated 'Mise En Dior' Short Film

Dior has launched a short film showcasing the creation of its iconic pearl necklace, Mise en Dior.

Created by the brand's director for costume jewellery, Camille Miceli, the film is shot from the perspective of a Mise en Dior pearl as it shoots through a pinball machine in time to a Mozart soundtrack.

Each time the pearl hits a score, a Dior icon pops up: The Bar jacket, Lady Dior, J'Adore, The Star and Dior Addict. With each encounter, the necklace comes closer to completion.

"We thought that for Dior we had to have a classic element that we modernise," said Micelli regarding the pinball machine concept. "Pinball is one of the most classic and popular games and to make it Dior became so modern and so attractive."
