Margot Robbie 'lived off Froot Loops' in her Neighbours days
Margot Robbie has officially hit Hollywood star status following her Oscar nomination for Best Actress for her role in I, Tonya but things haven't always been smooth sailing for her.
The actress began her career on Neighbours as a fresh-faced 17-year-old but leaving home at that age definitely had its challenges.
In an interview on The Project on Wednesday, Australia's golden girl admitted at first she "lived off" the sugary cereal Froot Loops.
"I was 17 when I started on the job," she explained. "I had just moved from the Gold Coast and I didn't know anyone in Melbourne. Obviously I had never lived on my own before and everyone just took me under their wing."
"I was pretty much living on Froot Loops for breakfast, lunch and dinner," the 27-year-old continued.
Her castmates certainly did take the young actress under their wings.
She explained Jackie Woodburne who plays Susan Kennedy "would invite [Margot] over once a week and cook [her] a roast".
Margot also gave a shoutout to her former co-star Ryan Moloney who plays Jarrod 'Toadfish' Rebecchi, for teaching her how to do her taxes.
The Suicide Squad star certainly has come along way since her Neighbours days.
We're sure all of Australia is gunning for Margot to take home her first Academy Award.
