Manu Feildel admits he put laxatives in officers' food: 'Oh my God'

Manu Feildel made a shocking confession during an appearance on 2DAY FM’s Hughesy, Ed & Erin, after the hosts asked the French chef to share a secret.

The My Kitchen Rules judge shared a long-held secret, revealing he has previously put laxatives in people’s food.

The reality star revealed that during his time in France’s once-mandatory National Service, he became so annoyed at his officers that he decided to add a little something extra to their meals one night.

"For the first two months, you're being treated like crap, you're a newbie, so you know they take the mickey out of you," he started. "But I ended up being in a kitchen after that, you know, running the kitchens for the officers.

"You know those little caps you get given when you're constipated?" he asked the hosts. "I used to empty them in their food."

"To block them up?" Dave 'Hughesy' Hughes asked, clearly confused.

"To open them up!" Manu added with a laught as Erin Molan looked on, shocked. "They gave me the sh*ts, I gave them the sh*ts back."

Hughesy joked that he should have gone to jail and punished, with Manu joking he was upset that he didn't know whether or not the prank worked.

"Is that the only time you've done that in your whole cheffing career?" Hughesy asked.

"Definitely the only time, the one and only time," he said. "I do that to vegans as well!"

"They deserve it!" Erin quipped.
