Ted Danson’s sleuthing adventures will continue: A Man on the Inside has been renewed for Season 2, Netflix announced Monday.
Season 2 will premiere some time in 2025, though details on where Charles (Danson) is headed next and a possible new cast are still to come.

“We are thrilled to make another season of A Man on the Inside, starring young up-and-comer Ted Danson,” series creator Mike Schur said in a statement to Tudum. “From our partners at Netflix and Universal TV to the writers, cast, and crew, it’s a truly exceptional team of talented and lovely people, with one notable exception (young up-and-comer Ted Danson, who’s kind of a nightmare).”
A Man on the Inside follows a retired engineer and widower (Danson) who gets a new lease on life when he answers an ad from a private investigator and becomes a mole in a secret investigation. Schur’s series is based on the documentary The Mole Agent, which was a 2021 Oscar nominee for Best Documentary feature.
The cast also includes Mary Elizabeth Ellis (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Lilah Richcreek Estrada (Chicago Med), Stephen McKinley Henderson (Devs) and Eugene Cordero (Loki).
