'Malcolm in the Middle' Star Spotted for First Time in 18 Years in Rare Photos

Now, the former child star has been spotted out and about in Boston looking very different from how audiences remember him.

Sullivan was photographed on March 26 in the northeastern city grabbing a coffee, wearing a gray sweater, dark green pants, and boots. Other photos showed the former actor wearing a dark brown leather jacket with the collar popped and a jaunty newsboy cap on his head.

According to E!, 33-year-old Sullivan is currently a graduate student studying Victorian literature. Sullivan’s last acting role, per IMDb, was the 2010 movie Twelve. The thriller also starred Emma Roberts, Chase Crawford during the height of his Gossip Girl fame, and is one of rapper 50 Cent’s earlier acting credits.

Though Sullivan has said goodbye to Hollywood, his co-stars haven’t, so much so that most of them will be reprising their roles in a Malcolm in the Middle reboot. Frankie Muniz will return to the titular role, Jane Kaczmarek will come back to play their mother, Lois, and Academy Award nominee Bryan Cranston will reprise his role as their father, Hal.

Christopher Masterson and Justin Berfield, who played Francis and Reese on the show, are also set to return to the series, reports Deadline.
