Which “Malcolm in the Middle” Character You Are, Based on Your Zodiac Sign
As the series celebrates its 25th anniversary, astrologer Lisa Stardust reveals which character from the iconic character from the 2000s sitcom you're most like according to your zodiac sign
It's hard to believe it's been 25 years since Malcolm in the Middle premiered on Jan. 9, 2000.
The series, which followed a young Frankie Muniz as a studious middle child living with his parents and many brothers, ran for seven seasons until its series finale on May 14, 2006.
The show received several accolades during its run and shot the young actor into superstardom at a young age. Since the series wrapped, it has found new audiences through streaming and is set to have an upcoming revival on Disney+!
In December 2024 Muniz announced that he'd be reuniting with his TV parents Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek for a limited, four-episode revival of Malcolm in the Middle on the streamer.
As the show celebrates its 25th anniversary, we can pay homage to the humor and love that graced our TV sets by rewatching it and connecting the characters to the zodiac signs so we can honor its cleverness and awesomeness in a novel way.
Here's which Malcolm in the Middle character you're most like, according to your zodiac sign.
Aries: Reese
Aries are rambunctious and full of life, which are words that perfectly describe Reese, the second born to the family. He has a hot temper, like passionate Aries, and has a comeback for every statement. Reese is impulsive and doesn’t think matters through, just as the Fire sign acts. At times he can be calm, but that’s only when he is dealing with another pursuit.
Taurus: Stevie Kenarban
Stevie is a loyal and awesome pal who will stay with Malcom through all his ventures and misbehavior. Taurus placements are always on the side of their besties, even when they act badly. Malcolm relies on Stevie for help and friendship, which has stood the test of time and high school. Stevie is reliable and direct, an earthy sensibility that Bulls admire in themselves and others.
Gemini: Malcolm
Geminis have a reputation for plotting, being sly and trying to get away with stories that veer from the facts. The Mercurial, quicksilver attitude of the Air sign relates to Malcolm's pranks and vibe since he’s always trying to pull the wool over his parents' eyes. Malcolm is a legit genius, a quality of the twin stars (their two superior brains are better than one).
Cancer: Dewey
Dewey is a very gifted piano player who chooses to hide his talents. Cancers can be secretive, only letting a select few in after building trust for years. Dewey is the youngest in the family before Jamie is born and decides to break the cycle of bullying amongst brothers in the household to be a better sibling than those who came before him.
Leo: Francis
Francis is the oldest of the Wilkerson brothers and advises his siblings on ways to terrorize their family. Yes, he is the OG wild child who does a stint at military school and breaks out a few times, but at the core, he is compassionate and has a heart of gold. Leos are known to care for and protect those they adore to show their affection.
Virgo: Piama Tananahaakna
Francis’s wife, Piama, is often the voice of reason on the show since she brushes the gap of misunderstanding between her husband and his family. Piama demonstrates the attribute of the Earth sign Virgo, putting others first. Beyond that, her compassion and empathy (especially in giving the Wilkerson’s the benefit of the doubt many times) for others align with Virgo's lifestyle and approach to relationships.
Libra: Hal
Hal definitely adheres to the Libra philosophy of “happy wife, happy life” because he lets Lois take charge and doesn’t question her authority over family matters. Even though there are moments in the TV series where Hal acts out, he's mostly a chill husband and father who wants to do the best for his lineage at all times, as any respectable and honorable Libra would.
Scorpio: Jamie
Jamie is the youngest of the Wilkerson brood, but that doesn’t mean he’s the weakest. Compared to his brothers, Jamie is the only kid who's able to get the better of his mom, Lois, due to his stubbornness and manipulative tactics. Accordingly, Jamie aligns with the Water sign Scorpio, since his fierce and tenacious mentality makes him strong, defiant, and tough — even for a small child.
Sagittarius: Lois
As the matriarch of the Wilkerson clan, Lois is a dynamic force to be reckoned with. Like the Fire sign Sagittarius, she fights back against her four sons, who push her to the edge. On the flip side, she’ll stand up and defend her family against adversity and her in-laws by always having the last word, which resonates with the persona of the fearless archer.
Capricorn: Lionel Herkabe
Being a rule maker and not a rule breaker makes Lionel Herkabe, Malcolm's teacher, a Capricorn. The Earth sign relishes order and can’t handle chaos, occasionally making working at a school difficult. Mr. Herkabe wants his students to excel in every area — that is, as long as they do not supersede his intelligence and championship in the halls at school since he’s a former gifted student.
Aquarius: Grandma Ida
Similarly to the unique personality of Aquarius, Grandma Ida marches to the beat of her own drum. Controversy follows Grandma Ida since she isn’t hip to the times, but is learning to evolve. The lesser-seen side of the water-bearer is their rigidity, which all fixed signs endure. Change comes for them in baby steps — especially after they’re able to see the errors of their ways.
Pisces: Craig Feldspar
Being a hopeless romantic with a crush on his colleague, Lois, makes Craig a Pisces because he is full of desire and tenderness. It’s easy for him to get caught up in fantasies and daydreams that are consumed with lust for his coworker. But Craig stays grounded and focused in order to get the job done at Lucky Aide, even with Lois on the brain.
