Annabel, from the UK, took to her own Instagram account to show off the brand new engagement ring she received on Halloween.

"31/10. Because there’s nothing quite as scary as commitment," she quipped in the caption.

Matthew revealed more details about the special day in "the most exciting episode ever" on his YouTube page, 'No Going Back'.

He explained how he chose to surprise his wife-to-be by popping the question at the very same alpaca farm she visited years before they met. Matthew even made sure to have the same alpaca, 'Pancake' that Annabel had met on her initial visit on hand for the proposal.

"I have been with my girlfriend for nearly three years, and the time came to pop the question. So with the help of a couple of nicely dressed alpacas, and armed with a ring, I got down on my knee and asked her the question," he wrote in the video caption.

Matthew was paired with makeup artist Lauren Huntriss on season six of MAFS however the pair broke up at the second commitment ceremony.

Matthew went on to meet Annabel after filming wrapped, and the pair were 'Instagram official' in March 2019.

"I just want this proposal and this ring to be as special to her as she is to me because she is amazing, she is kind, she is fierce and funny and smart and gorgeous and beautiful, and she is my person," Matthew said in his proposal video.

"I knew from the moment I met her that I wanted to marry her."
