MAFS' Olivia breaks silence after cheating scandal: 'So heartbroken'

Ever since the video emerged of Married At First Sight’s Jackson Lonie kissing another woman over the weekend, there has been plenty of speculation over what his partner Olivia Frazer thinks and if they are still together.

Now, the 28-year-old TV bride has officially broken her silence and shared a post on Instagram addressing the incident.

“Hi everyone. Thank you so much for the love and support during this horrendous time,” she wrote.

“I’ve seen so many beautiful messages and people checking in and I just wanted to let you know that although I’m so heartbroken and so embarrassed, I am okay.”

“Your kindness means everything right now. I will be focusing on healing from this privately.

‘She took advantage of how drunk he was’

The post comes shortly after So Dramatic! shared a leaked Instagram DM from Olivia, where she said that she believes Jackson was taken advantage of by the woman in the video, Hannah Hughes.

“I haven’t seen the video but my family and friends (who are very mad at Jackson) have all told me it’s obvious she took advantage of how drunk he was,” she reportedly said in the leaked DM.

“Which isn’t an excuse on his part. But just a better indicator of what happened.”

Olivia went on to comment about Hannah’s recent tell-all interview with So Dramatic, saying she was “sickened” and will be “leaving the country”.

She then ended the message by saying that there are “big life choices” she needs to make, alongside two heartbroken emojis.

Yahoo Lifestyle previously revealed that the couple had officially split following the cheating scandal, leaving Olivia heartbroken as she believed Jackson was ‘the love of her life’ and had plans to start a family together.

A friend of the couple told us: “As of right now, they’re officially over. Jackson didn’t really apologise but instead said he hasn’t been happy for a while, which broke Olivia’s heart more.

“She’s now planning on heading overseas without him to stay a while with relatives.”

Hannah Hughes claps back

Shortly after Olivia’s DM leaked online, Hannah Hughes took to her Instagram to clap back at the controversial claims about her drunken kiss with Jackson.

“Olivia stated that I’ve taken advantage of Jackson, where people actually know that we were both intoxicated and if she watches the video, she would know that he’s just as into it as I am,” she said.

“She can’t make these assumptions when she hasn’t seen the video. So maybe she should get onto the video to see her husband was just as into that kiss as I clearly was.

Hannah also spoke about the kiss on The Kyle & Jackie O Show earlier in the week, asserting that it wasn’t “orchestrated” for publicity and she didn’t actually know that he was still with Olivia.

When asked if Jackson seemed inebriated during the night, the 20-year-old replied: “At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how drunk you are. If you are really secure in a relationship, you wouldn’t let anything or anyone break into it.”

She later added: “No one deserves to be cheated on and I do feel bad that she’s been cheated on, absolutely. But I’m also in the headspace that I didn’t know, and it’s not my responsibility to go up to everyone that I talk to at the bar to make sure they’re single.”

Tamara Djordjevic speaks out

Speaking with Yahoo Lifestyle on Wednesday, fellow MAFS bride Tamara Djordjevic shared her thoughts on the incident and whether she has spoken with either Olivia or Jackson.

“I'm really close with Liv, so I can also vouch for the fact that it is one hundred per cent, not a publicity stunt,” she said.

“That comment can go in the bin because there are real feelings and real people involved, and I'm really hurt by people condoning the fact that this has happened to Olivia. She's a person and cheating is never okay, in my eyes anyway.

“But even for me being close to Liv, it's still a private situation. I'm not prying into what's going on in their relationship, just telling her I'm here for her if she wants to chat and feels like she can trust me. I haven't spoken to Jackson, just to Liv at the moment. But they’re working through things as a couple and I'm giving him the privacy to do that.”
