MAFS' Ines opens up on 'high-paced, emotionally-charged affair' with Sam

They took their ‘affair’ to the next level last night, when they ended up getting cosy in a hotel bedroom.

And now Married At First Sight star Ines Basic has opened up about her ‘spiritual and mental connection’ with Sam Ball.

Ines, who is married to Bronson Norris on the show, and Sam, who’s paired up with Elizabeth Sobinoff, clearly weren’t thinking of their other halves when they met up in the Gold Coast hotel.

“Everything with Sam and I was done at such a high-paced, emotionally-charged level,” Ines told 9Honey Celebrity.

“We connected on a very different level. Like we didn’t really need to speak. We could just feel each other’s emotions.”

Despite their mutual attraction, Ines did reveal that she was expecting Sam to open up to her more and engage in a ‘deeper conversation’.

On last night’s episode of the show, Ines and Sam met up for dinner before going back to Sam’s hotel room.

It came after it was reported yesterday that the backlash and scrutiny has gotten the better of Ines and she’s “not coping”, according to Woman’s Day.

An alleged source told the magazine that the stress has caused Ines to lose “about 12kg since filming finished”.

“Everyone’s really worried about her,” they said.

In response to the claims, a spokesperson for Endemol Shine Australia – the company responsible for the production of Married At First Sight – told the publication, “The health and safety of our participants is always our first priority.

“Psychological support is readily available.”

Channel Nine has already stepped in to disable comments on all posts featuring Ines on the official MAFS page in response to social media backlash against the contestant.
