MAFS favourites Matt and Lauren look set to combust

Since that fateful night on their honeymoon, relationship progress has been slow for loveable MAFS couple Matt and Lauren.

Day-to-day intimacy has been severely lacking (at least for Lauren), and she was left sorely disappointed on Monday night when her TV husband’s attempts to get to know her better fell well short of her expectations.

Matt revealed he would be asking her a series of questions, but instead of deepening their emotional connection, it opened a chasm between them, after Lauren told him that she’s dated women in the past.

Stunned by the revelation, Matt probed no further – something which did not sit well with Lauren who rationed, “He should have a thousand things to ask me, I’ve got a thousand things to ask him!”

“I’m not impressed to be honest,” she said. “The fact that I have had feelings and relationships with girls definitely shocked Matt and he went silent and he just won’t talk. He just shuts down.”

Awkward as that moment was, it seems things do not improve tonight, as the teaser promises an increase in tension between the pair.

Sitting down at a table in the snippet, Lauren tells Matt, “There are certain things that I need in a relationship…”

“Like what? What does that mean?” he responds, before the ad cuts to show Matt sternly saying, “I don’t want any part of it.”

“I’ve really dug myself into a hole here,” Lauren then sighs.

We’ll have to see what happens tonight, but Lauren’s clue that Matt “doesn’t know the half of me yet” has us thinking there’s much more to come.

Meanwhile on Twitter, some fans were unhappy with the way Lauren expressed her sexual history as she used the words, “I used to be a lesbian”.
