MAFS' Ellie calls out Ben in rogue Facebook comment: 'The truth will come out'

The MAFS bride has suggested that her 'husband' was seeing his new girlfriend before entering the experiment.

It's one of the worst-kept secrets in Married At First Sight history that Ellie Dix and Ben Walters don't go the distance on the show - with Ellie now loved up with season 11 groom Jono McCullough and Ben with his new girlfriend Aileen.

While news of the cheating scandal and 'couple swap' broke early on in the season, it was during Wednesday night's dinner party that Ben chose the questionable route of breaking up with Ellie in front of their fellow couples.

Now, in a surprising twist in the bitter breakup between the pair, Ellie has publicly commented on Ben's new Facebook profile picture which he has changed to reflect his new relationship status.

"Dear Ben, 'Ellie breaks her silence'," the since-deleted comment begins.

"Did you forget we were friends on here buddy? Classic. I actually heard from Timothy you were seeing Aileen before you went on MAFS (you told him at lunch when you were in Melbourne) talk about the pot calling the kettle black."

Ellie also referred to the infamous 'list' that Ben had written with pros and cons about his bride, claiming that the list read out on a recent episode of the So Dramatic! podcast was not the original list he had written.

"Everything you did and said to me was conveniently off camera and then production would come in our apartment and you'd turn on the 'act'", she continued. "As for saying I was messaging another husband the entire experiment, again, more lies. You know it, I know it, the entire bloody cast knows it. The truth will come out.

"It's not a bad edit, it's a mirror being held up and for once take some accountability for your behaviour."

Ben has since locked his Facebook profile so that only his friends can see what he posts, but the comment from Ellie was screenshot and reposted by one of his followers before he locked his info down.

Ben responds to Ellie's explosive claims

During an appearance on Yahoo’s Lifestyle’s Behind the Edit podcast, Ben denied that he had met his current girlfriend before going on the show.

“[Ellie]’s just trying to throw mud,” he said. “It’s no different to paparazzi making up that I was meant to be a famous podcaster or the Bachelor. It's like, ‘Two plus two equals five’.”

He went on to share that he met Aileen “three to four weeks” after he finished filming the show when he was “recuperating” in Newcastle.

“I was not looking for a relationship,” he detailed. “I thought, I need to pick up the pieces. Can I even give myself? Am I even ready for this?

“I was f**king broken off the show, and I was trying to absorb all the lessons - I'm still doing that now. So I warned her like, ‘Hey, this is fantastic chemistry, we’re clicking, we have similar values and things like that but I just need a moment’, and she's been super caring and responsive. She has my back.”

Ben added that his relationship with Aileen has “organically grown” in the months since and they recently decided to move in together.

“We just decided with logistics and planning and moving forward, ‘Hang on, we can live with each other’,” he recalled. “It was after a period of time and we thought, ‘F**k it, why not?’.”
