Flanked by two camels, Aimee, 24, looked shocked as Dean, 45, produced a stunning solitaire diamond ring, holding her hands to her mouth as she smiled at her future husband.

Photos show the moment the pair got engaged after an afternoon of camelback riding, with Aimee donning a white crochet backless dress and Dean matching his soon-to-be wife in a white linen shirt and shorts.

Speaking about his decision to tie the knot again, Dean said: “MAFS is different for everyone but for me, it was a total stitch-up and left me with a bitter taste about marriage. I was a bit scarred from the experience but when I met Aimee she renewed my faith in real, honest, true love.

“She is the sweetest, funniest, craziest and most genuine person I have ever met. We dived in head first and moved in together after just a few weeks and the next natural step was to propose.”

While the camels may seem a bit left of field, Dean explained they actually hold a sentimental significance to the couple.

“The camels are a bit of an in joke with us and Aimee insisted we involve them in our engagement photos,” he said.

“Every year our church in Manly does a camel parade around the corso and it was one of the first experiences we shared together when she moved to Sydney from Tasmania.”

Tasmanian-born Aimee, who appeared on Channel Nine’s Beauty And The Geek. said: "You can never keep me away from a bad boy. They tried that on Beauty and the Geek and it didn’t work. I found my bad boy for all the right reasons. Love can happen unexpectedly at any time :)"

The former reality stars first went public with their love in September 2022, walking the red carpet at Maxim Magazine's 11th birthday party in Sydney.

They met in 2020 but were kept apart due to Covid lockdowns. However, they kept in touch and obviously things have worked out pretty well for the pair.

Dean shot to fame on season five of Married At First Sight, causing controversy by cheating on Tracey Jewel with Davina Rankin.

In February, Dean was dropped by his management after causing controversy when he criticised a drag queen storytime event by Charisma Belle at Manly Library.

Dean caused outrage when he edited a flyer for the government-funded event, superimposing an unrelated image of the performer from her Instagram account onto it and calling drag performances 'inherently sexual' in the caption.

He later told Daily Mail there is "no way am I transphobic, homophobic or hateful".

"My post was about one thing. Is it appropriate for three-year-old kids to be exposed to advanced gender and sexual ideologies? I would personally think around the age of 12 is more suitable for that kind of thing," he said.

"I was curious to know what other people thought. After all this is a taxpayer-funded event in my neighborhood, I think I have the right to ask that question."
