MAFS' Davina Rankin confirms shock split from her husband of one year
The reality TV star shared the sad news on Instagram on Tuesday.
Married At First Sight star Davina Rankin has confirmed rumours she and her husband Jaxon Manuel have split just over a year after tying the knot.
The couple, who met years before Davina’s appearance on the reality show in 2018 but began a romance after she left the experiment, got married in April last year and share a three-year-old daughter, Mila-Mae.
Davina took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday evening to share the sad news with her followers, writing: “Relationships are hard.
“Given the recent speculation, I feel like I need to confirm that Jay and I have separated.
“I will at some point discuss this further, but my current focus is learning to navigate my new normal while providing a seamless and loving transition into co-parenting for our daughter.”

Rumours began swirling earlier this year that the couple had called it quits after fans noticed Davina hadn’t posted any photos with her husband on Instagram since August 2022.
She also shared a cryptic post in December about how 2022 had been her “biggest year of spiritual and mental growth”.
“For the first time in my life I can finally hear the whispers of my heart,” she wrote. “I'm in touch with my institution and I've stopped people pleasing and I'm tackling my fear of judgement head on. This year I grew into something I could have never imagined… MYSELF.”
Davina and Jaxon have since unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Davina was Australia’s first MAFS ‘villain’ after she engaged in a cheating scandal with fellow participant Dean Wells while she was still ‘married’ to Ryan Gallagher in season five.
She has since built up an Instagram following of over 340,000 and published her own series of children’s books.
The influencer also appeared on last year’s season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, where she opened up about her experience on MAFS and revealed she “didn’t leave the house for three months” while the show aired on TV.
“I was the most trolled person in Australia,” she said.
