Yahoo Lifestyle can reveal that the pair have now blocked each other on Instagram and untagged each other in their photos.
When Daniel announced the split on August 8, however, they were still following each other on social media.
Currently, it appears that they are yet to delete any posts together and all of their loved-up captions remain unedited.
A source tells us: “The split was far from as friendly as Daniel made it seem on Instagram, especially now he's heard Carolina started catching up with an ex-boyfriend pretty quickly after they broke up and he moved back to Brisbane.”
Yahoo Lifestyle has contacted both Daniel and Carolina for comment.
‘We have gone our separate ways’
Following weeks of speculation, Daniel shared a statement on Instagram earlier this month confirming that he and Carolina had called it quits.
“I'm getting bombarded so much at the moment, considering all the articles out right now about the status of Carolina and I,” he wrote.
“I think it's been obvious for a while we have gone our separate ways. There's no right way to deal with these situations. There's a huge pressure to just hold off going public for as long as possible 'cause you know all the hate that's gonna come.”
The personal trainer-turned-3D designer then wished Carolina “all the best” in her future.
“And I know she feels the same for me,” he added. “We had a very unique experience together full of every emotion possible but life just has a different plan for us.”
Alongside the Instagram post, Daniel wrote in the caption: “Be kind pls”
Brent’s relationship update
The update comes shortly after the pair’s season nine co-star Brent Vitiello and his new girlfriend, Australian model Taylor Davey, told Yahoo Lifestyle that they almost got married during a recent trip to Las Vegas.
The pair explained that they had had a few close encounters at Eros Sydney and the Sydney airport before connecting on social media and meeting up for the first time in Las Vegas.
“She told me Vegas was amazing and said we should head there to catch up,” Brent recalled. “I then looked at the boys and said, ‘This is going to be a real love story, I can feel it. Just watch’. So we all went to Vegas… and it was a love story.”
“We almost got married in Vegas!” she said. “After three days together we just said to the driver, ‘Take us to a chapel!’”
“But I fell asleep before we got there!” Brent added with a laugh. “We would have really got married if I didn’t fall asleep.”
