MAFS' Bryce divides opinion after shaming 'rude' stranger online

Controversial MAFS couple Bryce Ruthven and Melissa Rawson have sparked furious debate after shaming a woman online who described the pair as a "ratbag couple".

Bryce told fans the woman had been taking "sneaky photos" of the couple at a football game, so he retaliated by sharing videos of the woman and her messages.

“We had a date night at the footy tonight watching our Sydney Swans play. Two rows in front of us for a large part of the night, Melissa noticed a lady trying to take sneaky photos of us watching the game,” he wrote.

“Eventually she got a photo [of] us that she was happy to pass onto others, good enough to circle us in anyway.”

The star then explained that seeing the woman talk about the pair was "ruining their night", and said this isn’t the first time something like this has taken place.

“In the past, we have had people on numerous occasions take photos/videos of us, pass it onto trashy gossip pages and spin a ridiculous story,” he wrote.

Alongside photos and videos of the woman, Bryce asked fans if her actions were "inappropriate" or if the couple were "fair game" after going on national television.

Many people were on Bryce's side, saying that it was a "pretty rude" thing for a stranger to do.

“I see you guys all the time as I live and work near you. Never have I felt the urge to snap a sneaky pic or even approach you. You are entitled to a private life with your family without being harassed!” one fan answered.

“Ratbag couple is the rudest part! Sometimes people are shy or don’t want to bother you in your day-to-day life. But that’s just rude,” another wrote.

“How disgraceful! Honestly! Clearly has nothing better to do with her life, how sad,” a third chimed in.

However, many fans pointed out that by posting photos and videos of the woman, Bryce had done the exact same thing — but to over 400,000 people.

“OK so you don’t like her bagging you out? But ain’t you doing the same to her?” wrote a fan.

“She is sending it in a private chat not on a public forum like they have just done to this lady,” added a second.

“Now there are hundreds of comments bagging out her appearance and making some awful insinuations,” another replied.

“You put yourselves out there, in the public space, you must know that in doing so you become fodder for some? It’s great when the attention you get is positive, but everyone is free to comment on people who choose higher profile lives,” a fourth remarked.
