MAFS bride Holly Greenstein's surprise acting past: 'Miss being on set'
With so much drama going on on-screen, it's little surprise that some of the Married at First Sight contestants have some formal dramatic experience of their own.
One participant with several acting credits to their name — including on a primetime US TV series — is bride Holly Greenstein who wed Texan Andrew Davis on Wednesday night's episode.
Holly, 36, is no stranger to showbiz after appearing in a handful of feature-length films including the 2010 action-thriller, The Devil's 6 Commandments, and The Bondi Chronicles in 2013 as per her IMDb page.
While those two flicks were shot locally and had a limited release, in 2017 Holly flew to Vancouver, Canada after she was cast in NBC's time travel TV drama, Timeless.
She played Claudette, a 1920s jazz singer in an episode in the show's debut season, requiring her to undergo a complete transformation to seamlessly blend into the scene.
Holly — who was named as a 'cinema manager' on MAFS — made sure to document her new look on her Instagram, posting pics of herself in the hair and makeup trailer prior to heading to the set.

For the shoot, she wore a glamorous beaded green dress, a feather stole and an intricately beaded headpiece with her brown curls pinned into an of-the-era bob.
Holly posed with a fellow guest star, Tiffany Daniels who played famed jazz performer Josephine Baker.
In her caption, Holly thanked Tiffany for her 'amazing energy and warmth' on the set.
Holly hasn't only dabbled in film and TV, either. It looks like the Southerland Shire local has also done some modelling in the recent past.
In October last year, she took to Instagram to share a snap of her decked out in snow gear in an ad for Rebel Sport.
"Love that proud moment when you get to see your side hustle pop up on a Facebook ad. Miss being on set!"
Back in 2013, aspiring actor Holly was interviewed by her local paper, The Leader before jetting off to Los Angeles to pursue her dreams.
In the article, which was titled "A leap from shire to Tinseltown," Holly revealed that she had had "a love of acting and drama for as long as I can remember".
She revealed that she was eager to start working in a supporting lead role on a new movie project which she described as "a major sci-fi film".
The trip was Holly's second in so many years. In 2012 she spent three months in LA for pilot season, sending tapes to casting directors and even signing with a manager. She said she was hoping to secure a working visa.
The article also noted that Holly, who would have been about 27 at the time, attended Menai High School and had a bachelor of communications degree from the University of Western Sydney
Holly's lyrical vows
Holly's acting dreams seem to have taken a backseat for now, as the 36-year-old focuses on her desire to find love and start a family.
On Married at First Sight she was paired with Texan Andrew Davis and while the pair seemed to hit it off well viewers at home couldn't get over her 'cringeworthy' vows.
Holly chose to quote both Savage Garden and Michael Buble in her vows, a move that was met with mixed reactions by MAFS fans on Twitter.
Despite Holly's worries about her new husband's American background, Holly and Andrew appear to be a good match, with Holly over the moon to hear that the motivational speaker already had a young daughter and was open to having more children.
Married at First Sight continues tonight at 7:30pm on Channel Nine and 9Now.
