Welcome back, another week gone by and that means another recap. Quite a few takeaways from last week's episodes that I would like to touch… so lets get amongst it shall we.

Angie turns on Olivia: 'Extremely problematic'

When Holly was speaking alone at her last commitment ceremony, Jackson interrupts with his mansplanation of what he thought happened at the precious dinner party.

I really quite enjoyed Jackson and Olivia when they were first introduced to us, but now they just give me real holier-than-thou vibes. Like they are trying to prove something a little too much.

Which brings me to one of my main hang ups of this entire season this far….Olivia. And believe me, it pains me to feel this way about a woman. I always try and find a reason to justify why women do the things they do, as I know the majority of the time it can stem from real issues. Such as insecurities, daddy issues, patriarchy, past conditioning, and things along that line… and I am sure she has a solid story but my God girl, give it a rest.

Olivia and her dream man Jackson continued to ignore signs from a woman who was suffering from mental manipulation and DARVO behaviour. I figured Jackson out of all people would stand by Holly since he has witnessed his mother being a victim to this type of behaviour. Wouldn’t he be fully across the signs? If not fully, then at least believe a woman who was breaking down in front of his very eyes? Or only when it suits his narrative? The way both Olivia and Jackson responded to the Holly situation was extremely problematic.

'Show is cooked'

The fact the producers and or experts put Holly with someone like Andrew who did not want children and they 100% would have been across that, just for ratings…. Goes to show how extremely cooked this entire show is. Yessssss Alessandra for going in on Olivia saying she was forceful towards Holly with her delivery when approaching her about Holly’s situation. Olivia only apologised when she was called out in front of the entire group and Holly being the gracious queen that she is accepted the apology. Set forth Holly and rid yourself of this mess. You deserve better.

I am putting that one to bed now. On to the next problematic matter in question. We’ve got them coming in red hot.

New matches make 'zero sense'

Last week we saw three more weddings. And three matches that make zero sense to the human mind. Carolina and Dion. Kate and Matt. Jessica and Daniel.

Jess called her new husband Daniel a 'little bitch'. Yeah, this doesn’t sit well with me. It didn’t sit well with pretty much anyone at the dinner party either. Women should not call men a little bitch! Number one, Bitch is a pejorative slang word for a person, usually a woman. Why you would use that word in a negative light is beyond me. To be a bitch is bad ass. So grow up Jessica.

And secondly, If we ever want men to, I don’t know, be more vulnerable and stop acting off ego and past conducting and toxic gender roles, then maybe we need to stop putting them down when they express their emotions. Men are generally conditioned to believe that expressing their feelings is out of character with the male identity. Doing so can ruin their image of being strong and stoic. And look how sensational that has turned out in the past for all parties involved.

'Don't settle'

I feel like each week, we will lose one toxic person or situation, and then the next we will just add three new vexed toppings. Is it just me or are this year's matchings just so incredibly grim?

Last week was taxing. As per. We lost one douche canoe in Andrew (thank-you universe) only to gain what seems to be a few more.

Kate and Matt just actually make the inside of my stomach itchy because I can just feel the second hand discomfort seeping through my television screen from Kate. It will be sh*t to watch most people say ‘oh she should just be grateful for what she is given’. Yeah no.

I think it’s safe to say in 2022 we don’t settle ladies. Gorgeous, gorgeous girls don’t need to settle in 2022. And that’s what we all are.

And low and behold, we got our cheating scandal coming in right on time with Carolina and Daniel. Thanks for that you two, as if we weren’t already loosing brain cells and juggling enough.

That’s it from me…. You know the drill. EAT, SLEEP, SAGE, REPEAT.
