‘Love Lies Bleeding’ Breakout Katy O’Brian And ‘Outer Banks’ Actor Madison Bailey Among Names Added To Amazon MGM Rom-Com ‘Maintenance Required’

EXCLUSIVE: Katy O’Brian, best known for her recent breakout lead role in Rose Glass’ Love Lies Bleeding and Outer Banks actor Madison Bailey have signed on to star in Maintenance Required, a new romantic comedy from Future Artists Entertainment, Luber Roklin Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios.

O’Brian and Bailey join Madelaine Petsch and Jacob Scipio in the pic. We announced their casting earlier this month. Actress Inanna Sarkis, comedian and actor Matteo Lane, and Grammy and Emmy-nominated actor and comedian Jim Gaffigan have also joined the project.

Currently in production, Maintenance Required follows Charlie (Petsch) who is forced to reconsider the viability of her beloved all-female mechanic shop. Seeking connection on an online car forum, little does she know her confidant, Beau (Jacob Scipio), is in fact her real-life business rival. Bailey and O’Brian will feature as members of the all-female mechanics team alongside Petsch.

Luber Roklin and Future Artists developed the script for Amazon, placing first-time feature director Lacey Uhlemeyer at the helm. Author Erin Falconer (How to Break Up with Your Friends) wrote the script with Uhlemeyer. Future Artists Entertainment’s Matt Williams will produce alongside Lena Roklin and Matt Luber of Luber Roklin Entertainment, with Petsch as EP.

Alongside Netflix’s Outer Banks, Bailey’s credits include Swamp Murders, Black Lighting, American Horror Stories, and the upcoming Time Cut. O’Brian won widespread acclaim for her turn in Rose Glass’ Love Lies Bleeding. Her other credits include The Mandalorian, The Walking Dead, and Twisters (2024). Sarkis is a writer, actress, and producer. Most recently, she wrote, produced, and directed the Realm Podcast network scripted series Zaya.

Lane is a stand-up comic. His on-screen credits include the Amazon film Upgraded, the Netflix series Survival of the Thickest, and the feature Molli & Max in the Future, which premiered at SXSW. Gaffigan is a Grammy-nominated comedian, actor, writer, and producer. He can currently be seen opposite co-stars Jerry Seinfeld, Melissa McCarthy, James Marsden, and Hugh Grant in Netflix’s Unfrosted.
