Reality TV star reveals dramatic transformation

At first glance, you’d be forgiven for thinking reality TV show Love Island is more of a swimwear showcase than a dating competition, but last year’s winner has taken to social media to show he wasn’t always as buff as he was on our screens.

Grant Crapp - who famously jilted his first match Cassidy, to pursue a romance with fellow winner Tayla, on Australia’s debut series - shared a side-by-side photo of himself through the years.

Just 14 in the photo on the left, the now 23-year-old is far scrawnier than he is today, with one fan saying, “Wow what a transformation”.

Grant’s relationship with Tayla finished soon after the show did, with the brunette shockingly accusing him of having a secret girlfriend throughout his time on Love Island.

Meanwhile Grant claimed he and the other woman, personal trainer and online coach Lucy Cartwright, were just close friends and only started dating after the series wrapped up.

The couple have since gone on to buy property together, while Tayla found love with fellow former contestant Dom Thomas, and they’re still together a year later.
