"Love Is Blind" Star Ashley Adionser Announced Split From Husband Tyler Francis Following Sperm Donor Scandal, And Fans Aren't Surprised At All
After their relationship became the center of backlash from viewers, Love Is Blind's Ashley Adionser and Tyler Francis have split.
Season 7 of the popular dating show was one of the wildest ones to date. From expectations falling short to huge secrets exposed, this series continues to be an emotional roller coaster for both the contestants and fans.
The first few episodes of this season seemed promising for Ashley and Tyler. They seemed to have a lot in common, and they always left the pods with a smile on their face after chatting with each other.
But things quickly took a turn when Tyler revealed that he was a sperm donor for a close friend, which resulted in being the father of three biological children. At the time of the reveal, Tyler insisted he did not have a relationship with the kids nor did he even know what they looked like.
Despite being a little hesitant about moving forward with him after hearing this revelation, the two continued their engagement and eventually wed in the season finale.
Unfortunately, their fairytale marriage didn't last long. Before the reunion could even air, more details about the conception of his children were revealed on social media. This included photos of Tyler celebrating Christmas with his kids in matching pajamas, as well as allegations that he owed child support and left his kids to be on the reality show.
"There's pictures of me around," Tyler said at the reunion. "I played a part that became very shaky with a friend. There's no rule books to this...but I do want to let people know Ashley knows all this. This is news to the world, this has never been news to us."
"For people to imply that 'she was blindsided,' 'she didn't know,' is insulting to my intelligence," Ashley added. "With him growing up in a single-parent household...it was very hard for him to remove himself [from this situation] and not be involved when this is now a single mom," she added. "I know he is a good person who went in a little too deep and didn't know what to do next."
While it seemed like the two were okay tuning out the noise and focusing on each other, according to People, Ashley recently announced that they decided to part ways.
"After much reflection, I want to share that Tyler and I have been separated for several weeks and have now made the difficult decision to end our marriage," Ashley told People. "While I had hoped for mutual understanding and transparency in our relationship, it has become clear that our paths are no longer aligned, making it impossible for me to continue in this marriage."
"This was not a decision I made lightly, but one I know is necessary for my own growth and peace. While this chapter is ending, I will always hold respect for the time and love we shared. I kindly ask for privacy during this deeply personal time as I focus on healing and building a new future. Thank you for your understanding and support."
Tyler has yet to comment on the split, but viewers couldn't hold back their opinions, with many feeling like Ashley didn't listen to fans trying to warn her about him:
