A night of stars and splendour

A majestic return to Sydney

That's right folks, after a brief stint on the Gold Coast, and a very long run in Melbourne, the Logies are coming back to Sydney for the first time in 30 years, with the red carpet set to roll out at The Star. In another long awaited reunion, Channel 7 will be broadcasting the event for the first time since 1995, when Ray Martin took the Gold Logie home for his work on A Current Affair.

A host to steal the show

This year, the Logies welcomes comedian Sam Pang as official host, breaking an 11-year tradition of not having a dedicated master of ceremonies. Known for his quick wit and infectious humour, Sam is set to guide viewers through the four-hour broadcast with his signature charm. While he admits it will be different without a "buzzer or beer" in front of him, he's promised viewers an entertaining evening chock-full of glamorous humour.

One Logie to rule them all

The prestigious Gold Logie, awarded to the Most Popular Personality on Australian television, is the pinnacle of the Logie Awards. Last year's winner, Hamish Blake, returns to defend his title against a formidable line-up of nominees: Julia Morris, Leigh Sales, Mark Coles Smith, Osher Günsberg, Shaun Micallef and Sonia Kruger.
