Yahoo Lifestyle Livvy Dunne Goes for Gold in Disco-worthy Sherri Hill Dress for ESPY Awards 2024
Livvy Dunne made a shining entrance at the 2024 ESPY Awards on Thursday in Los Angeles.
The Louisiana State University gymnast walked the red carpet in pleated gold halter-neck gown by Sherri Hill, which featured a keyhole cutout. Dunne’s luminous frock embraced 1970s trends: metallic hues and shimmery fabrics like lamé were particularly popular during the decade of disco.

Dunne accessorized with a chainlink bracelet and a pair of peep-toe platforms.
The athlete wore her blond tresses in a half-updo with gold leaf clips, while her makeup consisted of brown eyeshadow, a mauve lip and matching blush.
In May, Dunne was featured in Sports Illustrated’s 60th Swimsuit Issue. The publication’s annual feature also included Gayle King, Kate Upton and Chrissy Teigen.
The gymnast posed for photographer Ben Watts in Porto, Portugal, as part of her SI photoshoot. Dunne, who recently graduated from LSU, spoke with the magazine about her efforts to fight for student athlete compensation, including her own program, The Livvy Fund.
“I’m blessed enough to have all these opportunities with Name Image and Likeness, and I just wanted to provide NIL opportunities for the women student athletes at LSU,” Dunne said. “When I get a brand deal, the brand puts money into the Livvy Fund, and we partner other female student athletes with the brand.”

Dunne was announced as Nautica’s latest women’s ambassador in February. She’s the most-followed college athlete on social media, with a combined 13 million followers on Instagram and TikTok.
The ESPY, Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly, Awards honor the best athletes in sports from the WNBA, MLB, UFC and more. Coco Gauff, Caitlin Clark and Patrick Mahomes are among the 2024 ESPY Awards high-profile nominees. 23-time Grand Slam champion and ESPY Award recipient Serena Williams will serve as host for the evening’s ceremony at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles.
