Lit Manager Tobin Babst Forms Northstar Entertainment; Amicable Kaplan/Perrone Exit

EXCLUSIVE: Tobin Babst, a veteran film and television literary manager, is leaving Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment (KPE) after 12 years to launch a new venture. He’ll launch Northstar Entertainment with several long-time clients including Jay Basu, Dave Callaham, Joby Harold, Christina Hodson, Eileen Jones, Darren Lemke, Ken Nolan, Matthew Plouffe, Jessica Sharzer, Jonathan Tropper and Jesse Wigutow.

Babst had been a partner at KPE for more than 12 years. Prior to that, he started his career at UTA, where he served as an agent in the Motion Picture Literary Department for 12 years.
