Lisa Wilkinson takes subtle swipe at Today whilst praising The Project

It’s nearly been one year since Lisa Wilkinson left the whole of Australia shocked, after her abrupt departure from Today.

Twelve months on, its appears the 58-year-old isn’t missing the days when she next to Karl Stefanovic.

Taking to Instagram, Lisa revealed she has once again jetted off, this time to London, for another interview for The Sunday Project.

Whilst she gushed about the opportunities her new Network Ten role has given her, the presenter couldn’t help but take a sly swipe at her former network.

“For a girl who used to be tied to a desk five mornings a week, I’m certainly clocking up the Frequent Flyer miles,” she captioned a photo of herself in a classic big red London bus.

After all that jet-setting for work we hope Lisa can cash in some of those frequent flyer points for an actual holiday!

Lisa’s shock exit from Channel Nine last year after being with the network for over a decade came after speculation around her salary expectations, with reports claiming she demanded the same pay as her former co-host Karl.

Shortly after it was announced she was set to join The Project panel in January 2018.
