Mira Sorvino and Lisa Kudrow are officially reuniting.

The actresses are in final talks to reprise their roles for a Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion sequel, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They are also set to serve as executive producers on the project.

The original 1997 film, which follows two unaccomplished women who invent fake careers to impress their classmates at their 10-year high school reunion, became a cult classic hit.

Sorvino, who played Romy, said in a November interview with People that all of the original cast is set to return for the sequel.

“This is all pending, them making deals, them saying yes, but they’re all in there,” said the Oscar winner.

Many of the heavy-hitters from the production team are returning as well. Robin Schiff, who wrote the first movie, also penned the script for the second. Sorvino said Schiff wrote an “amazing funny script, which checks all the boxes for all the fans.” Laurence Mark, who produced the first film, will also be coming back.

Tim Federle is attached to direct the film, which is expected to start production in June. Federle created High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, which aired on Disney+.

Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion originated as a stage play, written by Schiff and starring Kudrow, as part of The Groundlings. The sequel will be distributed by the Disney-owned 20th Century Studios.
