'Settled for less': LiLo savages new couple Cody Simpson and Miley Cyrus

The Masked Singer judge Lindsay Lohan has made her opinion on season one winner Cody Simpson and his new romance with Miley Cyrus abundantly clear in a searing Instagram post.

The Parent Trap star took to her account on Tuesday night to share a photo of the 22-year-old singer behind the Robot costume with her younger sister, Aliana Lohan, who he dated briefly back in 2018.

In the caption, Lindsay slammed the “Surfboard” hitmaker, suggesting that he had ‘failed’ and ‘lost on [his] future’ by ending his relationship with Ali, 25, and hooking up with Miley earlier this month.

Lilo also appeared to imply that the Gold Coast native has ‘settled for less’ with his current lady love, who split from her husband Liam Hemsworth in August.

“When you realise you failed. And you settle for less @codysimpson family is everything you won the masked singer but you lost on your future,” read Lindsay’s full caption.

The scathing post appears to have been ‘instantly deleted’ from Lindsay’s account but not before several fans managed to take screenshots.

One Twitter user who shared a screenshot of the post wrote, “Oh dear Lindsay”.

In the same day, the former child star shared a photo of herself on stage after the grand final with Cody and her fellow Masked Singer judges Dannii Minogue, Jackie O and Dave ‘Hughesy’ Hughes.

In the caption, Lindsay praised winner Cody for his ‘good job’ but went on to add a subtle jab at the star, writing, “@aliana leave the riffraff behind sista!!!”

Lindsay roasts Cody on national TV

Lindsay’s latest stab at Cody comes after the redhead called him out on national TV during the show’s grand finale on Monday night.

Moments before Cody was unmasked, Lilo explained why she was adamant the Aussie was the Robot.

“My sister dated him so I have a little insight,” she said.

“If it is you, we have a lot to talk about, and this is not the arena for it,” she added cryptically before taking aim at him over some outstanding furniture.

“I want my furniture back ‘cause I bought your furniture for your house in Venice,” she called out.

When the mask came off finally there was much finger-pointing and cheering as Lindsay realised she had guessed right.

Cody claps back

Despite Lindsay’s awkward on-air accusation, the pop star seemed to take it all on the chin, even joking that the furniture in question “never showed up”.

Jackie O has since revealed the real story behind Lindsay’s beef with Cody on her radio show.

“So Lindsay bought [Cody and Ali] a house load of furniture. And then, as soon as they moved in, according to Lindsay, he split up with Ali. And then I think Ali moved out,” Jackie O explained.

She added that Cody likely had ‘no idea’ that Lilo had footed the bill for the furniture.

The hunky crooner’s romance with Miley appears to be going from strength to strength, however, with Cody coming out to defended how quickly things have moved between the two, and deny that he caused the “Slide Away” singer’s breakup with her ex Kaitlynn Carter.

The fledgling couple has flooded their social media accounts with loved up pics and messages, and have debuted matching tattoos.

They were first spotted kissing while out and about in LA on October 4, a few short weeks after Miley and Kaitlynn called time on their brief fling.
