A fitness club for pets is helping overweight animals drop the kilos

A fitness club for pets is helping overweight animals become their healthiest selves.

The Pet Fit Club, which is based in the UK, helps oversized dogs and cats, plus other common pets such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats and even mice, slim down.

Pet owners are required to put their animal on a six-month diet provided by vets and nurses at the health club as well as putting them on a special exercise program.

According to the retreat, one in three dogs and one in four cats are estimated to be obese.
