Liam Hemsworth was 'sick of being humiliated' by Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus may have sent shockwaves through her fanbase when she released a song over the weekend about growing apart from Liam Hemsworth, but according to one source, there’s more to the couple’s split than meets the eye.

An insider told NW magazine Miley begged Liam to go to couple’s therapy with her as she could feel him slipping away, however, it’s claimed the 29-year-old was tired of Miley’s false promises.

“Miley threw down all sorts of promises and Liam went along with it because he loved her,” the source said.

“But as soon as they tied the knot, she went back to her old ways, partying and pursuing women.

“Liam is sick of being humiliated. And the way she’s acting she’s doing and excellent job of making sure he won’t go back.

Miley and Liam move on

While Miley certainly seems to have moved on quickly, after she was spotted kissing Kaitlynn Carter in Italy just days after she split with Liam, her estranged husband appears to be doing the same.

A source claims Liam and former Home and Away star Isabel Lucas have been “spending some time together”, as he retreated to Byron Bay seeking comfort from his family and friends.

It’s been reported his parents would love to see him with someone who is on the same page - “an Aussie who loves the ocean, is a bit more mature and socially aware. Isabel ticks a lot of those boxes,” the source adds.

Liam’s inner circle are said to be crossing their fingers that he won’t go running back to the Party In The USA singer.

“Miley and Liam both keep saying the word "separated", not "divorcing", which has his family really worried they're leaving the door open to get back together in the future,” a source told The Sun.

“[Their marriage] has been toxic for way too long. They're not meant to be together.”

Miley puts pen to paper

Overnight on Friday, Miley released a scathing song about their break-up called Slide Away, which contains more than one telltale lyric pointing to the very famous subject matter.

The heartbreaking song seems to nod towards rumours that Liam’s ‘wild partying’ really was behind the breakup.

The artwork shows bottles of booze and pills bobbing around a pool and she also sings, “I want my house in the hills / Don't want the whiskey and pills / I don't give up easily but I don't think I'm down”.

The rumours flew in the face of assumptions that exuberant Miley was the wild child in the relationship.

“Everyone always thinks Miley is problematic and immature and a hardcore partier while he’s this chill surfer dude, but that’s actually [not accurate],” a friend of the couple told People magazine.

“Liam parties with his friends, and Miley thinks he should’ve grown out of that by now.”
