Legendary guitarist Carlos Santana passes out on stage: 'Scary'
Rock legend Carlos Santana collapsed on stage during his show in Michigan, USA on Tuesday.
The Grammy-winning guitarist was tended to by medical personnel and the crowd were asked to pray for his “serious medical” issue.
According to reports, the 74-year-old was about an hour into his performance before he passed out completely.
Carlos Santana’s PR team released a statement saying that the star is now recovering but has postponed his next show.
“Rock Legend Carlos Santana was over-taken by heat exhaustion and dehydration during a concert Tuesday (July 5) evening in Michigan,” the statement reads.

“Carlos was taken to the emergency department at McLaren Clarkson for observation and is doing well, it was announced by Santana’s manager Michael Vrionis tonight."
Worried fans on Twitter were horrified when this happened, with many sending well wishes.
“Carlos Santana is one of the reasons I play guitar today. He was giving one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen before he had a medical emergency. I saw him walk off and wave but still this is so scary. Well wishes Santana!!” a concertgoer wrote.
“Praying for a speedy recovery for the master, Carlos Santana. We were there and that was a very scary scene,” another audience member said.
“Carlos Santana’s guitar playing transcends its own artistic genius and becomes its own language. One of the most unique and beautiful concerts I’ve ever attended. Glad he’s ok after collapsing on stage tonight,” a third added.
The star also posted a message to his fans on his official Facebook page, thanking fans for their concern.
“To one and all. Thank you for your previous prayers, Cindy and I, we are good, just taking it easy. Forgot to eat and drink water so I dehydrated and passed out. Blessings and miracles to you all.” He wrote.
