Lea Michele Jokes That Son Ever, 3, Would 'Rather Hear Alexa' Than Have Her Sing Him to Sleep (Exclusive)

The 'Glee' alum — who is currently pregnant with her second baby — shares her son with husband Zandy Reich

Lea Michele's son apparently isn't fazed by his mom's vocal skills.

The actress and singer, 37, details in an exclusive conversation with PEOPLE how her 3-year-old, Ever Leo, isn't the type of child to ask her to sing him to sleep at night.

"I mean, he would way rather hear Alexa and have her put on Trolls and all of that," Michele — who is partnering with Children’s Tylenol — says with a laugh.

Still, the Glee alum notes that her little guy "likes to sing with me sometimes" and "loves listening to music of all different kinds."

"I think for me, as a singer, what I'm so grateful for is to be able to open his eyes to different types of music, different styles and things like that, so that's been really fun," Michele adds.

Michele is currently expecting her second baby — a girl — with husband Zandy Reich. She announced her pregnancy news via an Instagram post in March.

"Mommy, Daddy and Ever are overjoyed. 💛," she wrote in her caption, sharing a series of photos of herself posing in a white shawl and underwear while cradling her baby bump.

According to Michele, her love of music was passed down to her by her parents, mom Edith and dad Marc. "Music was a really big thing in our household growing up, and that's the same now," she explains.

"We have dance parties at night, and we just always have music playing," adds the Broadway star. "I love passing that tradition along to our son as well."

Along with music, Michele says her son has a "wide range" of interests — from Marvel characters to a film from the 1950s.

"He's just now starting to ask about Spider-Man, superheroes and things like that, but then the other morning, he also asked to watch the movie The Red Balloon, which was an Oscar-winning movie from [years ago]," she says.

Adding that Ever also has "lots of fun little classes and activities that he's into," the proud mom notes that moving from Los Angeles back to New York City has offered her and her husband the opportunity to expose their son to lots of new things.

"To be able to raise him in this city that has so many wonderful different cultural experiences [is great]," Michele says.

She adds, "We just took him to see his third Broadway show, and we go to different restaurants and try different foods and stuff. It has just been so wonderful to experience with him."
