Lauren Sánchez Says She’s Been Using a Pinterest Board to Plan Her Wedding: 'I’m Just Like Every Other Bride’
The former 'Good Day LA' co-host is engaged to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos
Lauren Sánchez is thrilled to be planning her wedding!
The former news anchor and Emmy Award-winning journalist was all smiles on The Today Show on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Sánchez, 54, is engaged to Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, 60. Though their relationship is studded by space travel, climate change activism and yacht trips, Sánchez is taking time to enjoy the quintessential experiences of getting married.
"I have to say, I do have a Pinterest — I'm just like every other bride, so I do have a Pinterest board," Sánchez said of wedding planning.
She added that she's "thinking about the dress."
Bezos proposed to Sánchez in May 2023 after going public with their relationship in January 2019. Previously, Bezos was married to MacKenzie Scott for 25 years and Sánchez was with then-husband Patrick Whitesell.
Though they've been spotted many times on Bezos's yacht or on lavish trips, the couple also enjoys "low-key" time at home.
"My favorite time is when the house is calm and quiet and Jeff and I are deciding what show we're going to binge that night," Sánchez told PEOPLE in August.
In addition to her upcoming nuptials, Sánchez is set to lead an all-female expedition into space, she said. Though she didn't reveal which women would be joining her, Sánchez stressed the importance of labeling them "explorers" — a title almost exclusively offered to men, she said.
Sanchez also recently authored her first children's book — The Fly Who Flew to Space — about a fly who is "bad at school and kind of wanders and gets stuck in a space capsule," she shared.

The former Good Day LA co-host opened up about hitting big milestones and accomplishments at 54.
"I never thought at 54 — I’m going to be 55 — that I was going to be an author, that I’d be getting married. I mean, life is just beginning," Sánchez said. "When I was 20, I thought, ‘Oh my gosh, life is over at 50.’ Let me tell you, it is not, ladies."
"It is not over. It is just beginning," she continued. "It just gets better and better. And I always say, when women are like, ‘Oh, what is it I like turning 50?’ It’s just the beginning."
