Lainey Wilson Shares Rare Video with Boyfriend Devlin 'Duck' Hodges: 'Nowhere I'd Rather Be'
The country star posted a sweet clip of the couple to her 'Whirlwind' track "4x4xU" on Oct. 9
As long as Devlin "Duck" Hodges is by her side, there’s nowhere Lainey Wilson would rather be!
The 32-year-old country singer — who prefers to keep her relationship with Hodges, 28, private — just shared a rare glimpse into the couple’s home life, complete with a sweet lyrical nod to the former NFL quarterback.
On Wednesday, Oct. 9, Wilson shared a video of the couple on Instagram soundtracked to a snippet of her song “4x4xU.”
Taking the song’s title very literally, the footage shows the Whirlwind songstress sitting next to the football pro-turned-real estate agent in the titular vehicle.
The singer-songwriter filmed the pair, who rocked matching hats while driving through bumpy forest terrain, in the car’s rearview mirror as the love song’s chorus kicks off in the background.
"Ain't nowhere I'd rather be / than in a 4x4 by you, babe,” her voice crooned over the footage. “N.Y.C. to L.A. / city to the country / from here to Kalamazoo.”
In the caption, Wilson reiterated her affections for Hodges by repeating the lyric “ain’t nowhere I’d rather be” and tagging him.
“Heard that guy is ready for duck season,” the retired athlete joked in the comments — and reposted the video on his Instagram Stories.

Wilson’s sweet video of the couple comes shortly after she opened up about their relationship while chatting with Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1 in August.
During the interview, the Grammy winner told Lowe that she has “finally found a guy that gives me a run for my money.”
“He's my biggest cheerleader,” she continued. “He's just a good person. And he knows how important chasing down a dream is because even when he was a little boy, football was his life.”

The hitmaker also reflected on how the couple — who have been dating since 2021 — met while Hodges was still playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, “but then it all changed.”
It was “weird,” recalled of that time. “It was like his life was changing as my life was changing and we were going different directions.”
The "Heart Like a Truck" singer also described their relationship dynamic as "whirlwind” — the title of her 2024 album containing “4x4xU.”
"I mean, it's not normal," she said. "We don't get to see each other as often as some couples do, but we also know that what we have is very special."
