Lady Gaga ditching her signature blonde hair colour for a jet-black 'do was not on my pre-bank holiday Friday morning bingo card but hey, if we were to denote one celebrity's beauty looks as 'unpredictable' and 'unforgettable', you're looking right at her.
Overnight in the star-studded world of Los Angeles, California, Gaga attended the world premiere fan screening of her very own HBO original, Gaga Chromatica Ball – a concert film which follows the singer during the LA stop of her 2022 music tour.
And of course, for such a monumental event in her career, Gaga turned up and out not only wearing a three-dimensional extra-terrestrial gown but a transformative black hairstyle, too. We should'a seen it coming...
The star also took to her Instagram page to share three separate images of the look.
As one fan so perfectly puts it in the comments section of the above post: "Somehow this look has all of your albums/eras energy. You are INSANE and we love you for this. MY MOTHER!"

Now, not only does the hair colour make her look somewhat unrecognisable but the style does, too, surpassing all meanings of a 'dramatic beauty transformation'. I mean, the micro-fringe and face-framing shaggy jelly-fish-like layers are so Artpop, yet so mod; so 2024, one might say.
Once again, Gaga, you've taken back the hair chameleon crown – and rightly so. We bow down to you, m'lady.
