Kylie Minogue, 53, barely recognisable in teen throwback snap
She's topped the music charts around the world for the past few decades and scooped numerous awards but Kylie Minogue has a hidden talent that no one saw coming.
To celebrate her 53rd birthday, the Aussie icon took to Instagram to share a sweet throwback snap of her 'sulky' teen years.
'Dear teenage me'
The black and white image sees a barely recognisable Kylie hunched down in an armchair, her head in her hand while staring off into the distance.
While it's not exactly clear when the pic was taken, it was likely around the time she was appearing as the feisty Charlene Robinson on Neighbours between 1986 to '88, putting her at about 18 or 19 years old.
Her naturally curly hair is scooped up into a half-up, half-down style and her face appears makeup-free. The Melbourne-born superstar is rugged up in a knitted wool jumper that features stripes of different colours and some sort of design on the front.

"Dear teenage me," the 'Spinning Around' singer wrote in the caption. "No more sulking... ONE MORE SLEEP until your birthday!
"PS... well done on knitting that jumper," she added.
A pro knitter and a pop princess? Kylie truly can do it all.
Kylie's former Neighbours co-star Jason Donovan, who played her on-screen husband Scott Robinson, piped up in the comments section to say, "I remember that jumper !!"
Aussie actor Rose Byrne simply wrote, "gorgeous," while filmmaker Nash Edgerton left a sunglasses emoji.
Sisterly love
Kylie's younger sister, Dannii Minogue, 49, took to her own Instagram account to wish her sibling a happy birthday.
Dannii also treated fans to a blast from the past, sharing a pic of the pair sporting hair scrunchies and piles of curls in a TV Week photoshoot from March 28, 1988.
She followed that with a second, more recent snap of the sisters, this time from Harpers Bazaar US in 2014.
"I am so lucky to have a beautiful, kind and caring sister. Years of laughter, tears, hugs and performances to cherish," The Masked Singer host wrote.
"A huge happy birthday to you @kylieminogue Now, let’s eat cake."
During an appearance on Sunrise just last month, Dannii faced questions about her sister's rumoured engagement to her beau, magazine executive beau Paul Solomons, but refused to give much away.
"Are there any big announcements?" probed host David Koch, to which Dannii replied, "No".
"There is no news but we absolutely adore [Paul] and they are a divine couple," she added.
Speculation around Kylie and 42-year-old Paul's relationship began swirling back in February when a friend of the couple, UK singer and actress Billie Piper, referred to Paul as Kylie's 'fiancé' in an interview with Elle Magazine.
Then, Paul’s own mother told The Daily Mail she was ‘thrilled’ that the pair were engaged but stopped short of sharing any further details.
For their part, neither Kylie nor Paul have commented publicly on the rumours. The couple have been together since 2018.
