Kylie Kelce Reveals Why She Didn't Tell Anyone She Was Dating Jason Kelce at First

It's hard to imagine a time when Kylie Kelce's love life wasn't public.

However, the wife of NFL star Jason Kelce revealed on the Feb. 12 episode of Call Her Daddy that she kept the early stages of her romance with the former Philadelphia Eagles center a "secret" at first and explained her reason why.

"I kept it a secret a long time... I told no one," Kylie, 32, told podcast host Alex Cooper of seeing Jason, 37, at the start of their relationship in college.

"I had two friends on campus that knew. My two closest friends," Kylie said of her pals at Cabrini University. "They didn't tell anyone."

Meanwhile, Kylie said that her field hockey teammates at the time "knew at some point" that she was "seeing someone" despite her close friends keeping the relationship with Jason a secret.

Eventually, one of her teammates pulled Kylie aside to ask who the guy was that she was seeing, to which she just vaguely mentioned that he "lives in the city" without giving way too many details.

"And they were like, 'Why are you being so sketchy about it,'" Kylie recalled her friends saying. "And I was like, 'Because he has a job that's kind of public. I'm not going to get into it.'"

Naturally, her friends were even more curious than they were before due to his public status. "So I was just like, 'Oh, he plays for the Eagles.'"

Then, Kylie remembered one of the teammates reacting in a way that validated why she didn't want to tell anyone about her relationship in the first place.

"One of my college teammates was like, 'Oh, that's so funny. I know this girl from back home who met this Eagle on Tinder, but it can't be the same guy because this guy was hideous,'" Kylie recalls her friend telling her, before asking what he looked like.

"She was like, 'I'm going to text her right now and figure out what his name was.' Five minutes later, 'His name was Jason Kelce'," Kylie recalls.

"I was like, 'This is validation. This is why I'm not telling anyone,'" she continues. "And the best part is, nothing ever came of this girl meeting him on Tinder... I eventually got to the bottom of that."

That example was "funny" to Kylie because it was the "one moment" that she chose to question if she was finally "going to let [her] guard down."

Kylie rest assured in knowing, though, that her teammate's story happened "months before" she and Jason met.

Jason and Kylie originally met on Tinder while she was in college. After two years of dating, they wed in Philadelphia in April 2018. The couple now share three daughters: Wyatt Elizabeth, Elliotte Ray and Bennett Llewellyn — and have a fourth baby on the way.
