Kyle Sandilands leaks Tracy Grimshaw's A Current Affair replacement

Kyle Sandilands has seemingly confirmed Today host Allison Langdon will be replacing Tracy Grimshaw on A Current Affair when she finishes up on Thursday.

During his KIIS FM show on Wednesday, Kyle was speaking with Tracy, asking her to give a hint as to who her replacement would be, when he dropped the bombshell.

Tracy remained coy and refused to answer Kyle's questions but shared, "You will know soon."

"I can't possibly tell you, I can't possibly give you a hint," the journalist added. "I wouldn't be surprised if you know next week."

"I feel like I know, because I've been speaking to [Karl] Stefanovic," Kyle said, revealing he didn't know if the conversation was 'personal' and not meant to be shared. "Well, let me just tell everyone it is Ally. I don't mean to bust Channel Nine's bubble."

"Maybe that was a personal chat? I don't know... But he didn't ask me not to say anything," he added.

"So you can confirm that it is that?" the radio host asked.

"I can confirm nothing," Tracy added with a laugh.

Elsewhere in the chat, she described her replacement as an "exemplary person".

Channel Nine has not yet confirmed who will be the new A Current Affair host.

Kyle grills Allison: 'Let's stop the speculation'

It comes after Kyle grilled Allison when he appeared on the Today show last week. The radio host bluntly asked, "Are you doing A Current Affair or not?"

Allison joked in response, "Well, I'm going to do the Today show, I'm going to do A Current Affair, I'm going to coach the Wallabies and I reckon Dan Andrews might offer me a ministry."

However, Kyle didn't let her off and hit back, "Let's stop the speculation. Are you doing A Current Affair? Just tell us!"

Ally wouldn't confirm or deny, simply saying she could never "leave" Karl to host the Today show alone.

Kyle pressed yet again, "Are you doing it or not?" with the host telling him "no".

"So you're not doing it?" Kyle questioned one last time.

"Far out!" Ally exclaimed, prompting Karl to joke, "With all this questioning, he should be doing A Current Affair!"

It's believed that Ally would prefer to work on A Current Affair as the working hours would be preferable for a working mum. Interestingly, she is also the daughter-in-law of the late ACA host Mike Willesee.

Tracy announced she would be finishing up the show in September after hosting the program for 17 years.
