Kyle and Jackie O tipped to sign massive $200 million joint deal

The duo are hoping to secure the biggest deal in Australian radio history.

Kyle Sandilands and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson are reportedly trying to lock in an enormous $200 million joint deal to stay with their current radio station KIIS FM for another decade.

While the hosts are each earning $5 million a year in their current contracts, which takes them to the end of 2024, The Daily Telegraph claims the new deal will see their salaries double to $10 million a year until 2034.

This is compared to the annual salaries of other high-profile radio stars, including Ray Hadley on $3.5 million, Amanda Keller on $2.5 million and Carrie Bickmore on $1.5 million.

The publication reports that Kylie and Jackie O have also demanded that their radio show expand to other markets outside of Sydney, with Melbourne being a big priority for the pair.

It’s also believed that they want less censorship and “greater resources to be thrown at marketing and promotion”.

News.com.au reported on Saturday that Australian Radio Network (which owns KIIS FM) has “verbally agreed” to the pair’s contract terms.

However, a bidding war is said to have erupted as rival network Southern Cross Austereo is also keen to sign Kyle and Jackie O on the same deal.

Kyle and Jackie O’s on-air partnership began in 2000 when they hosted SCA’s national Hot30 Countdown.

In 2005 they moved to the network’s Sydney breakfast slot, where they remained until 2014 when they made the shock decision to jump ship to KIIS FM.
