Kristin Juszczyk has created memorable outfits for many, but not for her two Samoyed dogs, Mozzarella and Pierogi.

While discussing her current partnership with Purina, the wife of San Francisco 49ers player Kyle Juszczyk, who became the breakout designer of the 2023-2024 NFL season by crafting custom jackets for celebrities like Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes, reveals exclusively to PEOPLE why the couple's dogs haven't received any of her one-of-a-kind designs yet.

"They absolutely despise clothes," she says. "I think it would be really fun, and actually, so many people message me to make matching outfits for your dogs, but Pierogi hates it. When I put clothes on them, their faces melt, and they freeze and don't move; they get really upset. So I feel like it's wrong."

Kristin adds that she would create a game-day bandana if she could make her dogs anything. Because her dogs have thick coats, she wouldn't want to put anything on them that would make them even hotter. "We live in California, and they are already sleeping right by the air conditioning to try to keep cool," she says.

While the dog mom, who runs an Instagram account with her husband for their pups, hasn't crafted outfits for Mozzarella and Pierogi, the pets still play a significant role in her design process. She often shares on social media how her dogs interrupt her work.

"Whenever I lay down fabric, they think it's a new bed," she says. "They immediately come and lay on it, then start wrestling each other. They have to be everywhere. I can hear them slamming on the door, trying to get into the room right now. When I'm sewing, they're always by my feet, laying on top of everything, and they love to wrestle right on top of me."

She continues, "They love being all up in the mix. I always say they're my interns and that I'm going to report them to HR."

Fortunately, Kristin says, they've never destroyed a project she's worked on. "Mozzarella would never," she explains. "She's never been a dog that eats things she shouldn't. We always joke with Kyle, saying, 'No meat, no eat,' because if it's not meat, she looks at you with a face of disgust. We've tried to give her an apple, and she's like, 'Get this out of my face.' If it's not meat, she doesn't want it."

"Rogie, on the other hand, is a bit more of a troublemaker," she says. "She'll dabble in shoes every now and then, which is definitely not fun. But no, she hasn't taken any of my projects, though I'd never leave them on the floor because of that."

Kristin, Kyle, and their Samoyeds partnered with Purina to launch the brand's "For the Win" challenges, which are games designed to strengthen the bond between dogs and their pet parents.

Dog owners can learn more about the For the Win challenges and enter to win $10,000 through the Purina For the Win Sweepstakes at purinaforthewin.com.
