Kristin Cavallari and Mark Estes' breakup has led to some big changes in the lives of the Montana Boyz, the viral trio Estes is part of.

Days after Cavallari, 37, went public with their split during an appearance on Alex Cooper's Unwell tour in Austin on Sept. 27, PEOPLE has learned that filming has begun earlier than previously scheduled on the Montana Boyz's newly announced reality TV series.

A source says that "production has picked up cameras sooner than anticipated" on the series, which was announced on Oct. 2, "given the recent events surrounding Mark." He and Cavallari had been romantically linked since February.

Cameras began rolling on Oct. 3, the source says, and a camera crew is with the trio of boys — which also includes Kaleb Winterburn and Kade Wilcox — currently in Nashville.

"They will be filming over the course of the next few weeks as they navigate the recent press and upcoming events," the source adds.

A rep for the Montana Boyz has not commented.

The reality series, which will be a joint project between Vice Media and Viral Nation, is set to follow Estes, 24, Winterburn and Wilcox's lives in Nashville amid their sudden rise to fame following Estes' relationship with Cavallari.

In a statement, a rep for Estes told PEOPLE of the breakup, "Mark has immense love and respect for Kristin and their time spent together. He's focused on the future of his business and his project in development with Vice Studios."

Sources have confirmed to PEOPLE that the 13-year age gap between Estes and Cavallari ultimately underscored the split, but there is no bad blood between them.

"There's no drama. She has love and respect for him," one source said.

On the Oct. 1 episode of her podcast, Cavallari revealed she'd broken up with Estes "because I just know long-term it's not right, and it's not because of love lost or something bad happened."

"He's been the best boyfriend I've ever had. I just know long-term he needs to experience life, he's young... I started to feel the age a little bit with life experience," she said on Let's Be Honest. "I look back when I was 24 and how much life has happened between then, those are crucial years, those are formative years, they're when you find yourself and he needs to be able to do that."

The relationship infamously began with Estes DMing Cavallari on Instagram, and he told PEOPLE he "thought I was on my own account" when he made the move.

"We woke up the next day and [my friend] was like, 'Who DM'd Kristin?' I was like, 'Oh, that was me.'"

Cavallari also helped the boys adjust to their newfound viral fame. "It's been fun meeting her and getting to know her and just everything about that whole world," Winterburn, 24, told PEOPLE in March. "It's cool to see."

Winterburn also admitted that she had played a major role in their joint account, which at the time had over 700,000 followers and now has over one million.

“It all kind of happened in the right time, but since that's happened, yeah, it's been a complete shift,” Winterburn said. “I think more people are curious about what we're doing — different age ranges, different everybody. It's just from her…. what she's done before. I think it's sweet to see all those other people that are curious about what we're trying to do.”
