Kotex Couture! 'Show Off' Your Maxi Pad Like Haley Lu Richardson in These Clear-Pocket Jeans
U by Kotex just debuted the daring denim, which is currently available for free for a limited time with additional drops pending
Who says you can't end period stigma in style?
In a bound-to-go-viral move, U by Kotex just branched from menstrual products into clothing that shows them off with its new "MaxiMalism" jeans. The daring denim features a see-through back pocket, a unique detail designed exclusively for maxi pad storage.
Launched on Tuesday, Oct. 22, they are “the first line of jeans designed to maximize your pad, not minimize it,” according to the period product brand.
The limited-edition denim — “designed to show off, not hide, pads,” per U by Kotex — is also currently available for free for a limited time.
To get your own pair of the trendy, low-rise pants for no charge, select your size and place an order at giveaway website maximalismjeans.com. The initial batch is small, however, with very limited quantities of each size, which range from 24 to 42.
If you are unable to order a pair in your size because they are sold out, there will be additional drops later this month on Oct. 24 and Oct. 27, a spokesperson for U by Kotex tells PEOPLE. A full list of the giveaway's rules and details is available here.
Through the unique product, U by Kotex wants to empower individuals to “embrace their inner confidence and show their periods proudly” the brand said in a statement. And what better way to do so than by featuring your pad “in the most popular hiding place — your back pocket.”
The MaxiMalism jeans help “turn your walk of shame into a walk of fame,” the company notes in a quip on the jeans’ website.

Haley Lu Richardson has already approved the MaxiMalism message and the denim itself, which she rocked in new photos while strolling — and cartwheeling — around a Santa Monica, California park.
The White Lotus star, 29, paired the jeans with boots, a chunky belt and a colorful knit cardigan — plus, a pad stashed in her back pocket, of course.

Richardson also echoed the purpose of the new pant line in her own words on Instagram Stories.
“Hi it's me 🐒,” the star wrote in one post. “In a park on my period. Showing off my cutie pad, in my U by Kotex jeans because periods and period products are magical and nothing to be ashamed of.”
In another post, Richardson added, “Let's end period stigma and own this beautiful thing that happens to us every freaking month 🤪🩸🧚.”
